Bulgaria's Ministries of Tourism and Agriculture have joined forces with the country's wine industry to strengthen the international profile of Bulgarian wine and position it as a key part of the nation's cultural and tourism identity.
The initiative was announced following a working meeting led by Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov and Agriculture Minister Plamen Abrovski, together with Yavor Gechev, Chair of Parliament's Agriculture Committee, and representatives of Bulgaria's wine sector.
Officials said the partnership will focus on developing a coordinated strategy to promote Bulgarian wines both domestically and abroad while expanding the country's wine tourism offerings.
Participants agreed that wine tourism can play a significant role in supporting rural economies, creating new opportunities for local communities and increasing the value of Bulgaria's tourism sector.
