1. No calls: My days start with chai, taking in the morning stillness and freshness — free from work, no emails or calls.2. Walks: A 60-minute brisk walk or an hour of Iyengar yoga every morning is non-negotiable. The rigour of exercise fills me with energy for everything the day has in store. I follow this up with 10-15 minutes of meditation to clear thoughts and calm me down before work.3. Learning: The infamous Bangalore traffic means I spend a lot of time in the car to get to office every day! I fill this time productively — listening to podcasts, YouTube videos and audiobooks on various topics. It keeps me mentally agile — I draw connections between work, life and all the new things I learn, which ends up helping in the most unexpected situations!4. Eat together: My family eats dinner together every day. Our weekend dinners often extend to an hour or two — with good food, laughter and a large dose and variety of vegetables in our meals.5. Intrigue: I am a fan of action movies, thriller TV shows. I unwind by watching them — a break from the hustle of everyday life into the realm of the fascinating lives of secret agents and spies. Sometimes a good book quietens the mind.(Manish Gupta is Chairman and CEO, Indegene)Published on July 27, 2026
