Brisk walk: My day begins between 3.30 and 4 am. I start with 30-45 minutes of stretching and strength work (core, chest, legs and arms), followed by an hour of brisk walking outdoors. This early start sets the tone for everything that follows.Eat clean: I stick to two meals a day. Millets, pulses, brown rice, Mediterranean salad (only on weekends), seasonal fruits and home-style Indian dishes form the base. The day, however, always begins with masala tea sweetened with jaggery.Refined no-no: I keep things light, simple, and consistent by avoiding white sugar, white salt, flour, milk and white rice.Show up: Five days a week, I spend nearly 2 hours working out, usually finishing before 6 am. I rely on a mix of app-based routines and the occasional weight session to keep things varied.Slow evenings: Dinner is before 9 pm, a light and clean home-cooked meal. Evenings are for unwinding with family before I end the day by 10.30 pm.(Suresh Khadakbhavi is Chief Executive Officer, Digi Yatra Foundation)Published on July 13, 2026
