There's a lot to learn about our culture here – from pubs to supermarkets, it can all seem different.Even our food appetite isn't what Americans might be used to. For starters, our pub culture is a lot bigger here than in the United States. So onto their visit, Kalani spoke highly about the pub and claimed: "They actually have a team of people that go out every morning to find the fruit and veg and also have a butcher shop that chops up their locally sourced beef in house. So let's go and try it out."First to arrive to the table was the scotch egg, to which Kalani described as "nice and crispy". Tanner, who got his first bite, recalled: "Okay, thats really good," before he confirmed: "I do like the crunch of the meat and it's seasoned really well."Kalani, who clearly wasn't about to let his mate's earlier remarks slide, turned to Tanner and questioned again: "Bland food?" To which he confirmed: "I'm wrong."What followed was a veritable feast laid out before them, featuring lamb pie, triple cooked beef fat chips, garlic potatoes and a 45-day aged sirloin accompanied by peppercorn sauce.A Gastro Pub Feast: From Lamb Pie to Aged SteakTaking in all the dishes spread across the table, Kalani confessed: "First thing I will say just from my perspective but everything looks incredibly fresh, vibrant colours, green, a lot of stuff going on here."Tanner acknowledged his mate had "nailed it" as everything "looks so good". Upon sampling the lamb pie first, Tanner was practically lost for words as he simply managed: "Yeah."Kalani reckoned it was "incredibly tender" with "nice pastry".The pair continued raving about the flavours before Kalani brought up the "bland" comment once more, where Tanner seemed shocked by his own earlier judgement and insisted everything was absolutely delicious. Then came the moment for the dry-aged steak served with peppercorn sauce. Tasting the meat, Tanner exclaimed: "Hmmm yum. Yup they did that right," while Kalani appeared utterly speechless.American Tourist Admits He Was Wrong About UK CuisineEventually, the pair were set to order Tanner's first ever sticky toffee pudding but the video concluded with his ultimate assessment. That was all super good."Kalani wrapped up the video by telling viewers that the Project Fear star had tasted lamb for the first time.
