The recently commissioned Lameco flyover in Osogbo, Osun State, has developed a structural defect and was on Friday closed to traffic by the state government.
During a visit to the bridge on Friday, our correspondent observed that one lane had been closed to traffic because of the defect.
However, a video circulating on social media showed visible cracks on the affected section of the bridge.
Commenting on the development, Chairman of the Accord Party in Osun State, Victor Akande, said the incident was a result of vandalisation of public infrastructure by opposition elements in the state.
