The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council has stated that the newly commissioned LAMECO Flyover in Osogbo, valued at over ₦20billion, is already showing signs of structural defects, raising concerns over the safety of motorists and other road users.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Head of Media and Publicity of the campaign council, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, the opposition accused Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration of delivering a substandard project and called for the immediate closure of the flyover pending an independent structural integrity assessment.

The APC campaign council claimed that preliminary findings and reports from the site indicated visible signs of structural failure, including a deep pothole and other distress points on the flyover, barely a month after it was commissioned.

According to the council, the reported defects have raised serious questions about the quality of construction and the integrity of the project, warning that the development poses a threat to public safety.
