MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday hosted a gala dinner at Malacañang Palace to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) and emphasized that peace is sustained through collective effort.

The event brought together government officials, diplomats, foreign ministers, and representatives of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).

“They reflect the Philippines’ enduring belief that peace is never achieved by chance. It is built patiently, sustained collectively, and nurtured intently,” Marcos said in his speech.
