Artificial Intelligence is emerging as a powerful force in transforming community healthcare in Nigeria, with technology entrepreneur and digital health innovator Saliu Abdul Rasheed Abiola spearheading initiatives that combine innovation, research and community engagement to improve health outcomes.

Through his work as Co-Founder and Head of Research and Partnerships at Femin9, Abiola is helping develop a culturally tailored digital women’s health platform designed to expand access to reproductive healthcare, strengthen patient education and bridge healthcare gaps through technology-driven solutions. The platform integrates research, stakeholder collaboration and community participation to ensure that digital innovations respond to the real needs of women and underserved populations.

Beyond product development, Abiola has championed the use of Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies as tools for strengthening healthcare awareness at the grassroots.

Recognising that technology alone cannot solve healthcare challenges, he founded the Community Health and Reproductive Health Initiative in partnership with ZainHeric Healthcare Services UK to deliver health education programmes across Ogun State.
