Four Ukrainian citizens were killed and three other people were injured in a serious crash involving a minivan and a truck on the Ruse-Byala road on Friday morning, according to Bulgaria's Ministry of Interior.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m., with the emergency call received at about 9:45 a.m. The collision happened in the section between the village of Exarch Joseph and the junction for Dve Mogili.
According to the initial information, the truck, which has Sofia registration, was traveling toward Ruse, while the minivan, carrying a Ukrainian family with children, was heading toward Byala. Six people were traveling in the minivan.
Four of the van's occupants died at the scene. The remaining two passengers, along with the truck driver, were transported to the hospital.
The University Hospital Kanev in Ruse said a 43-year-old man and a 12-year-old child were admitted to its surgical department. The man suffered leg injuries, while the child's condition is not considered serious. Doctors are carrying out examinations, and the child will remain under observation.
