A total of 233 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the front line on July 23, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 36 enemy attacks.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook in its operational update as of 08:00 on Friday, July 24.
According to the report, the previous day Russian forces launched one missile strike using three missiles and carried out 93 airstrikes, dropping 308 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 10,463 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,230 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 25 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, Ukraine's Air Force, missile forces, and artillery struck 16 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, as well as five artillery systems, one drone command post, and one logistics depot.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy assault. Russian forces also carried out three airstrikes using nine guided aerial bombs and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 85 times.
