The European season has begun positively for Greek clubs, as PAOK and Panathinaikos started off with road wins on Thursday.
In the second qualifying round of the Europa League, PAOK saw off Ukrainian cup winners Dynamo Kyiv 3-2 in Poland, with the second leg at home a week later.
Playing in Lublin, host Dynamo took a third-minute lead with Volodymyr Brazhko, but PAOK turned things around before half-time through Giannis Konstantelias on the 13th and Christos Zafiris on the 38th.
PAOK added a third six minutes into the second half courtesy of Baptiste Santamaria, before Justin Lonwijk reduced Dynamo’s arrears on the 77th.
Panathinaikos was wasteful but lucky enough to beat Paksi 2-1 in Hungary for the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
