The prime ministers of Ukraine and Ireland, Sergii Koretsky and Micheál Martin, discussed the involvement of Irish companies in Ukraine's reconstruction and the further development of cooperation between businesses of the two countries.
As reported by Ukrinform, Koretsky announced this on Facebook.
According to the head of the Ukrainian government, the EU today approved the 21st package of sanctions against Russia. This is an important decision that will limit Russia's ability to finance the war against Ukraine. Koretsky thanked Ireland for its leadership in this process.
"Ireland currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and we highly value their contribution to opening Cluster 6, 'External Relations,' in Ukraine's EU accession negotiations. We count on Ireland's Presidency to help complete the opening of all remaining clusters and move swiftly toward the substantive stage of our accession process," the Prime Minister noted.
The interlocutors placed special focus on Ukraine's preparations for winter and the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure.
