OpenAI plans to deploy AMD Helios racks through multiple deployment partners starting in the second half of 2026.
The rollout marks the first phase of an up to 6GW AMD GPU deployment that the two companies announced back in October 2025. That deal also gave OpenAI the opportunity to acquire up to 10 percent of AMD.

Helios, officially launched today, combines AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, 6th Gen AMD Epyc 'Venice' server CPUs, AMD ROCm software, and AMD Pensando networking into a singular rack-scale architecture.
OpenAI said that it has already had trial access to Helios "for the past three months." The company has previously deployed MI300X and MI355X GPUs.
