Doctors at Tiruchi SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre removed an ovarian cyst weighing nine kilograms through a rare surgical procedure recently.According to a press release on Thursday, a woman, aged 52 years, and a mother of three children, was admitted to the hospital with a complaint of a huge distension of the abdomen and breathlessness. Diagnostic tests revealed that the patient a massive cyst in the left ovary.Surgery was performed to remove the cyst, that weighed nine kilos, the uterus and the other ovary.
