In a landmark move for Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs, women are claiming their rightful seats at the decision-making table. The Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP) has officially launched The Northern Collective, an influential, invitation-only network designed to shape the future of the region through inclusive and coordinated urban growth.

Originally conceptualized in January 2026 and officially announced on May 25, 2026, at the GTP Mayor’s Annual Dinner, this high-impact initiative convenes quarterly. It brings together more than 16 senior female leaders spanning business, government, higher education, media, development, and civic organizations. The circle includes representatives from major powerhouses, including Metropolitan, Nedbank, V&A Waterfront, Old Mutual, Nando’s, Mediclinic, UWC, Sanlam Foundation, Sanlam Sky, Heineken, Tyger Valley Centre, Eris Property Group, CPUT, and Astron Energy.
