The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Islamic Republic of Iran Army (Artesh) issued separate statements on Thursday, July 23, claiming to have launched drone strikes targeting several U.S. military bases in Jordan and Kuwait.
In a statement issued by its public relations department, the Army declared that its recent operations targeted Camp Al-Doha, Ali Al Salem Air Base, and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. According to the statement, Camp Al-Doha serves as a logistics and munitions storage depot for U.S. forces.
Concurrently, the IRGC claimed that strikes against Ali Al Salem Air Base, Udairi Range (Camp Buehring), and a communications tower in Kuwait killed or wounded several U.S. service members and destroyed a Patriot air defense system, as well as multiple U.S. helicopters and drones.
In a second statement, the IRGC reported a strike against a U.S. base in Jordan, claiming to have hit a THAAD missile defense radar, a Patriot system, a C-RAM radar, fuel storage tanks, a helicopter equipment warehouse, and a maintenance hangar.
As of publication, officials in the United States, Jordan, and Kuwait had not responded to these claims, and no independent sources had confirmed damage or casualties at the specified facilities. The announced strikes followed warnings issued hours earlier by IRGC commanders, who threatened that continued U.S. attacks would prompt Tehran to target U.S. military bases and regional energy infrastructure.
