Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missile and drone strikes targeting US military assets at two Jordanian air bases, according to Iran’s state-run Tasnim News Agency. The targets: Prince Hassan Air Base near Safawi and facilities linked to Al-Faysal/King Faisal.

The IRGC stated the operation was retaliation for prior US strikes on Iranian military sites.

What we know about the strikes

The operation reportedly targeted command centers and drone hangars, both of which are critical infrastructure for US operations across the region.

Iran has also issued additional threats against US assets in Bahrain, Kuwait, and other locations within Jordan.
