Seven people were killed when two minibus taxis and a truck collided on the N4 between Ngodwana and Nelspruit in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison has confirmed that seven people have reportedly died in a crash involving two minibus taxis and a truck on the N4 toll road.

The horror crash occurred between Ngodwana and Mbombela in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Department spokesperson Moeti Mmusi confirmed the incident to IOL, saying four people had died at the scene.

“Three occupants of one of the minibuses were burned beyond recognition,” Mmusi said.
