Eight people have died and one person was seriously injured following a devastating Youth Day collision between a minibus taxi and a truck on the N4 toll road between Ngodwana and Waterval Onder in Mpumalanga.
Eight people have lost their lives and another sustained serious injuries follongowing a devastating collision between a taxi and a truck on the N4 toll road in Mpumalanga on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred between Ngodwana and Waterval Onder, near Waterval Boven, according to the Mpumalanga Department of Public Safety.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, where eight occupants were declared dead. One person survived the collision but suffered serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
Provincial authorities confirmed that the N4 has been temporarily closed to traffic while emergency personnel clear the scene and investigators gather evidence.
