A cold front sweeps across South Africa, bringing rain and cooler temperatures to the Western and Southern regions.
A cold and cloudy Thursday is on the cards for parts of South Africa as a cold front moves across the south-western and southern regions, bringing rain to the Western Cape and parts of the Eastern Cape, while most inland provinces remain dry and cool.
According to the South African Weather Service, the Western Cape will experience cloudy and cold to cool conditions, with intermittent rain over the south-western areas during the morning.
The rainfall is expected to spread eastwards during the afternoon before clearing from the west later in the evening. Rainfall chances are around 30% over parts of the south-west, increasing to 60% along sections of the south coast.
The Eastern Cape will see partly cloudy and cool conditions. The western half of the province can expect isolated to scattered showers along the coast and adjacent interior during the evening, while the eastern half may experience morning showers in some interior areas. Rainfall probabilities range between 30% and 60% in affected coastal regions.
