The Bodossaki Foundation has awarded 64 new scholarships to Greek scientists for postgraduate studies, postdoctoral research and international scientific visits, expanding its flagship academic support initiative, the philanthropic organization announced.
The grants join a network of more than 2,800 historic scholars funded by the Athens-based foundation. Recipients will pursue advanced degrees and research at leading global institutions in fields ranging from artificial intelligence and aerospace engineering to climate change adaptation and materials science.
The latest cohort includes scholars enrolling at institutions such as Yale University, Lund University, UC Berkeley, ETH Zurich, TU Delft, and the University of Oxford.
“For us, the scholarship is not only vital support for our next academic steps, but above all a valuable vote of confidence and trust in our potential,” said Anna Maria, an incoming postgraduate student in pharmaceutical sciences at ETH Zurich.
The funding spans three primary initiatives: the foundation’s 54th Regular Scholarships Program for postgraduate studies, the Stamatis G. Mantzavinos Memorial Postdoctoral Research Scholarships Program and a program enabling Greek-based scientists to conduct short-term research abroad.
