The traditional leader of KwaNxamalala Traditional Authority Inkosi Simphiwe Zuma whose third bail bid fail as he begins his triple murder trial at the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Thursday.

Triple murder accused Inkosi Simphiwe Zuma has suffered another legal setback after the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court dismissed his latest bail application in the murder case of Xolani Ntombela.

Ntombela was killed at Masosheni near eMpophomeni, Howick, in November 2022.

The ruling marks the third time the traditional leader of the Nxamalala Traditional Authority has been denied bail.

Zuma, 56, was previously refused bail in the murder case of his nephew, Democratic Alliance (DA) councillor Nhlalayenza Ndlovu, who served as the party's chief whip in the uMngeni Local Municipality.
