A 38-year-old man from Mamelodi East has been denied bail in a high-profile murder case involving his girlfriend and her cousin.
A 38-year-old Mamelodi East man accused of murdering his girlfriend and her cousin has been denied bail by the Mamelodi Magistrates' Court.
In a statement released on Friday, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) welcomed the court's decision to refuse bail to Tebogo Mnisi, who faces two counts of premeditated murder, attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of unlawful ammunition.
According to the State, the charges stem from a shooting that allegedly took place in the early hours of October 26, 2025, at Small Konka Tavern in Mamelodi East.
It is alleged that Mnisi shot and killed his girlfriend, 22-year-old Tshiyamo Sweetness Moramaga, and her cousin, 21-year-old Boleseng Mirandah Moramaga. A third victim, Desmond Semang, 27, allegedly survived the attack after Mnisi attempted to kill him.
