The AP JAC Amaravati on Wednesday urged the Andhra Pradesh government to resolve the long-pending financial issues of employees, teachers, pensioners, and contract and outsourcing staff, following a Joint Staff Council meeting with Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav.The employees’ body sought the constitution of the 12th Pay Revision Commission, sanction of Interim Relief, release of pending Dearness Allowance instalments, and clearance of salary and pension arrears.The AP JAC decided to defer its proposed agitation after the government assured it of positive discussions on the pending demands. The government said all the issues raised by the employees’ representatives would be placed before Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for an early decision.The AP JAC said it would review the government’s response and decide its future course of action at its State Secretariat meeting scheduled for August 2.
