The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (AP JAC) Amaravati on Tuesday submitted a 27-point charter of demands to Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad, urging the government to address long-pending issues concerning employees, teachers, pensioners, contract staff and outsourcing personnel.A delegation led by AP JAC Amaravati Chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu met the Minister at his chamber in the State Secretariat. The meeting followed discussions with the government on July 11, during which Mr. Satya Prasad and Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy had asked employees’ representatives to furnish issue-wise details of their demands along with copies of representations already submitted to the government.Accordingly, the AP JAC submitted a comprehensive memorandum with supporting documents detailing its demands.The charter seeks the appointment of the 12th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) Commissioner, immediate announcement of Interim Relief (IR), release of pending Dearness Allowance (DA) instalments, restoration of the Additional Quantum of Pension for retired employees, enhancement of Child Care Leave for women employees, extension of welfare schemes to outsourcing personnel and regularisation of eligible contract employees.The memorandum also highlights several financial and service-related issues affecting employees across various departments.Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mr. Venkateswarlu urged the government to convene a meeting of the Joint Staff Council with all recognised employees’ associations at the earliest. He said the council should take up both financial and non-financial demands of employees, teachers, pensioners, contract workers and outsourcing personnel and initiate measures for their early resolution.According to the AP JAC, Mr. Satya Prasad responded positively to the representations and informed the delegation that the issues had already been brought to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He reportedly assured the representatives that a meeting would be convened soon to discuss the pending demands.The delegation included AP JAC Amaravati leader Palisetti Damodar Rao and others.
