Abubakar Houshangi, 31, one of the individuals wounded in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missile attack on the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan’s camp in the Zargwez region of Sulaymaniyah, has died from his injuries at a hospital in Sulaymaniyah.
According to an informed source who spoke to IranWire, Abubakar Houshangi suffered burns to 80 per cent of his body and lost both kidneys in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) missile strike. After being hospitalised for several days, he succumbed to his severe injuries on Tuesday, July 21.
On Friday, July 17, the IRGC targeted the headquarters of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan in Zargwez, Sulaymaniyah, using missiles and drones as part of its ongoing strikes against Iranian Kurdish opposition parties. The attack initially resulted in the deaths of nine party members and left two others injured.
With the death of Abubakar Houshangi, the death toll from the attack has risen to 10.
