Amjad Hossein Panahi, a member of the leadership of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, told IranWire that, in the early hours of Monday, July 20, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted the party’s command headquarters in the Alana Valley in Erbil’s Choman region with missile strikes. According to the Komala official, two drones struck another party base at the Surdash camp near Sulaymaniyah about an hour later.
Hossein Panahi stated that the missile attack struck the Komala command headquarters in the Alana Valley at 12:20 am. He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran subsequently carried out two additional drone strikes at 1:50 am and 1:55 am, targeting the party’s camp in Surdash.
According to the Komala leadership member, these latest strikes bring the total number of missile and drone attacks launched by the Islamic Republic against the party’s positions to more than 93 since the outbreak of the war between Iran and the United States.
