Advocate Malesela Teffo in court. He says the acquittal on all six criminal charges has restored his confidence after years of reputational damage and that he intends to resume work on his legal matters.
Advocate Malesela Teffo says he is ready to return to the high-profile Senzo Meyiwa murder trial after being acquitted on all six criminal charges against him, describing the outcome as a long-awaited vindication after years of reputational damage.
Teffo expressed that he was "very happy and relieved" after his acquittal, but noted that the criminal prosecution had damaged the trust between him and his clients.
"I'm very happy, and I feel so relieved," Teffo said.
"My name has been dented, and the clients are no longer trusting me in terms of doing all the cases."
