The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited has announced an emergency overnight closure of the N3 between the M13 Paradise Valley off-ramp and the M7 Pinetown off-ramp.

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) has announced an emergency overnight closure of the N3 between the M13 Paradise Valley off-ramp and the M7 Pinetown off-ramp to allow for urgent bridge repair work.

The closure will take place from 8pm to midnight on Wednesday, July 22.

According to SANRAL KwaZulu-Natal Geometrics Specialist Engineer Jason Lowe, the emergency closure is necessary after a damaged bridge parapet unexpectedly failed during ongoing construction to upgrade the M13 Paradise Valley off-ramps from the N3.

"The emergency closure is required to remove a damaged bridge parapet which has unexpectedly failed," Lowe said.
