SANRAL has advised of road closures on the N3 which will affect N3 westbound traffic as part of a crucial construction project to upgrade the Paradise Valley interchange.
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) has announced a series of temporary road closures on the N3 Westbound Carriageway at the Paradise Valley interchange. This necessary disruption is part of the ongoing construction of the upgraded N3/M13 Paradise Valley interchange, aimed at alleviating long-term traffic congestion in the region, SANRAL said.
Jason Lowe, SANRAL’s Eastern Region Geometrics Specialist Engineer, said, “Construction continues on the upgraded M13 Paradise Valley Off Ramps. This closure is part of the ongoing progress in the upgrade of the N3 between Westville and Paradise Valley.” As the construction progresses, SANRAL urges the public to remain patient and co-operative, recognising the implications for regular traffic flow.
The closures are scheduled as follows:
All road users are advised to plan ahead, anticipating longer journey times. Motorists are encouraged to start their journeys earlier than usual where possible. SANRAL has also provided full traffic accommodation plans to ensure the safety of both road users and the construction teams, Lowe said.
