THE murder trial of the Govender brothers, Ferrel and Darren, is expected to start in Durban High Court on Tuesday afternoon.
They are accused of killing Mount Edgecombe businessman, Shailen Singh, over an alleged affair between him and Ferrel’s former girlfriend.
Singh, 29, was shot multiple times while seated in his vehicle in a restaurant's parking lot in Meridian Drive, uMhlanga, in December 2024.
The brothers handed themselves over to police shortly after, and were charged.
