The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 147 suspected hoodlums during a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts across parts of the state.

The police said the operation, conducted under the ongoing Operation KO S’AYE III, also led to the recovery of 250 expanded cartridges, 22 machetes, battle axes, knives, charms and suspected illicit drugs.

The command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, in a statement on Monday, said the operation was carried out in the early hours of Sunday.

She said, “On Sunday, July 19, 2026, at about 5:30 a.m., acting on credible intelligence, a joint team of operatives drawn from different formations of the command carried out a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts at Boolar, Super Ile-Epo and other identified black spots in the state.
