BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The Cordillera police caught nine fugitives listed as the region’s most wanted suspects during the intensified manhunt conducted from July 9 to 14.
In a statement issued on July 20, Police Brig. Gen. Ericson Dilag, the Cordillera police director, said five of the fugitives were captured in the jurisdiction of the Benguet Police Provincial Office, two by the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, one by the Baguio City Police Office, and one by the Apayao Police Provincial Office.

Among those apprehended were the region’s No. 1 most wanted person facing a murder charge; the No. 2 most wanted for qualified rape and rape through sexual assault; the No. 3 most wanted for qualified rape of a minor and two counts of statutory acts of lasciviousness; the No. 4 most wanted for qualified rape; and the No. 5 most wanted for statutory rape.FEATURED STORIES
