Amid ongoing labour and trade protests across Iran, a group of Army Aviation (Havanirooz) personnel in Kermanshah and several dismissed professors from Farhangian University in Tehran held protest rallies on Monday, July 20.

According to published reports, Army Aviation personnel gathered outside the Kermanshah Governorate building to protest the stalled construction of a housing project. Demonstrators noted that, despite 15 years having passed since the land was purchased and the housing cooperative was established, no progress had been made. They demanded accountability from the authorities.

Simultaneously, a group of professors who had been forced out of Farhangian University staged a rally outside the Ministry of Education in Tehran. The academics, who said they had been forcibly retired, highlighted that, despite parliamentary and government committee rulings deeming their dismissals illegal, the Ministry of Education had taken no action to resolve their status.
