Simultaneously with the continuation of labor and trade union protests in Iran, groups of workers, drivers, and nurses held protest rallies in Rasht and Tehran on Monday, June 29.
A group of workers from the Iran-Barak wool spinning factory in Rasht gathered on the factory grounds. According to the protesters, the lack of clarity regarding their employment status, unpaid back wages, and insurance issues are among their most critical concerns.
Concurrently, a group of contract drivers held a protest rally in front of the Presidential Administration building in Tehran for the third consecutive day. These drivers stated that they have been waiting since 2021 for the implementation of the law and the regularization of their employment status, but no responsible authority has addressed their demands so far.
In Tehran, a group of nurses and medical staff also gathered in front of the Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization. Criticizing the neglect of their trade demands, the protesters called for the improvement of their livelihoods, the full implementation of employment laws, and the reform of nursing tariffs.
