More than 30 children from Upolu and Savai'i took part in robotics and coding workshops this month as part of an initiative aimed at introducing young people to science, technology and problem-solving.
The workshops were organised by Lumanai Samoa and the Samoa Early Learning Foundation (SELF) in partnership with Itagaki, with support from local organisations and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The first workshop was held at the Nelson Memorial Library on July 11, while a second session took place at the American Corner in Salelologa on July 18.
Lumanai Samoa founder Yuta Itagaki told the Samoa Observer that more than 30 children, most aged between 8 and 12, participated across the two workshops.
"Across the two workshops, more than 30 children participated, mainly between the ages of eight and twelve," Itagaki said.
