Students believe that the National PSET Exhibition and Samoa Skills Competition provided them with the opportunity to think about their future.
Held at the Football Complex in Apia, the weeklong event brought together Post-School Education and Training providers and Technical and Vocational Education and Training schools.
The event showcased talents in key areas, including fine arts, electrical engineering, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and kitchen operations. Visitors enjoyed hands-on demonstrations, displays of student handiwork and interactive booth question-and-answer sessions that highlighted the importance of skills development in creating future opportunities.
Hundreds of people attended the event.
Melissa Fa'aofomiu, a 16-year-old student from Safata College, said participating in the program hosted by the Samoa Qualifications Authority was an important and valuable learning experience.
