The 2026 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) national election has come under heavy criticism from lawyers across the country following widespread complaints of technical glitches, alleged irregularities and difficulties accessing the electronic voting platform.
Several legal practitioners who participated in the exercise accused the NBA leadership of presiding over what they described as a deeply flawed electoral process, alleging that many eligible voters were unable to cast their ballots while vote counts continued to increase.
Among those who publicly criticised the election was a legal practitioner A.K. Musa, who accused the NBA leadership under its President, Afam Osigwe (SAN), of failing to conduct a credible election.
In a series of posts on his X account and Facebook page, Musa alleged that the election was characterised by unprecedented irregularities.
