The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 12, Bauchi, AIG Vungmoh S.M. Kwaimoh, has charged officers and men of the Gombe State Police Command to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, professionalism and dedication to duty.
Kwaimoh gave the charge during his familiarisation and operational tour of the Gombe State Police Command on Friday, urging personnel to discharge their constitutional responsibilities with fairness, respect for human rights and strict adherence to the rule of law.
He also stressed the need for officers to remain committed to ethical policing while maintaining cordial relationships with members of the public.
“You must uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, professionalism and dedication to duty in the discharge of your responsibilities. Carry out your constitutional duties with fairness, respect for human rights and strict adherence to the rule of law while maintaining cordial relationships with members of the public,” he said.
The AIG was received at the Command Headquarters in Gombe by the Commissioner of Police, Umar Ahmed Chuso, alongside members of the Command Management Team, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders and other senior officers.
