The Northern District Community Forum (NDCF) has launched a petition urging Hill-Lewis to halt further development approvals in the Brackenfell Boulevard and Vredekloof corridor until major road infrastructure upgrades are implemented.

The petition relates to the proposed development at 41 Charles Drive (Case ID 1500118151). It calls for an immediate moratorium on new subdivision, rezoning and intensive land-use approvals within the Brackenfell Boulevard, Vredekloof and De Bron catchment area until a comprehensive traffic impact assessment has been completed.

Petitioners also want funding for the dualling of Brackenfell Boulevard to be allocated before any further developments are approved.
