The convictions, secured at Magistrate Court 3 in Asaba, were announced by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement made available to journalists in Warri on Friday.

The Delta State Police Command has recorded another successful crackdown on crimes targeting public infrastructure, following the conviction of 16 male suspects for offences ranging from conspiracy and theft of government property to malicious damage and unlawful possession of prohibited drugs.

The convictions, secured at Magistrate Court 3 in Asaba, were announced by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement made available to journalists in Warri on Friday.

Edafe said the prosecution reflects the command's resolve to safeguard government assets and ensure offenders are brought to justice.

According to him, the convictions were secured “in demonstration of the Command’s commitment to protecting critical public infrastructure and enforcing the law.”
