Over the weekend, dry weather will prevail across Ukraine. Only the western regions, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, are expected to see moderate rain, with locally heavy rain during the day, thunderstorms, and in some places hail and squalls.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"We expect different weather conditions both by date and by region on July 18–20. On July 18–19, in most regions, calm weather without precipitation will be determined by a high-pressure system. Only in the western regions, and on Sunday also in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, an active atmospheric front from Western Europe will bring moderate rain, locally heavy rain during the day, thunderstorms, and in some areas hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s. On July 20, the front will gradually lose strength, but short-term rain and thunderstorms are still expected in most regions," the statement said.

According to meteorologists, over the weekend there will mostly be no precipitation, except in the western regions; on Sunday also in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, moderate rain is forecast, with locally heavy rain during the day, thunderstorms, and in some areas hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s. On July 20, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions.
