Ukraine will experience hot weather over the weekend. Rain and thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday, while on Sunday precipitation is expected only in the country’s southeast.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center stated this on its website, Ukrinform reports.
"On August 8, moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight in the western, northern, and Vinnytsia regions, and during the day across Ukraine except in most western regions. In some areas, heavy rainfall, hail, and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are also forecast," the weather service said.
According to the forecast, Sunday will be mostly dry across Ukraine, with only brief showers and thunderstorms expected in the southeastern part of the country during the day.
Forecasters said northerly winds of 5–10 m/s are expected.
