Dry weather will prevail across most of Ukraine over the weekend, with only the western regions, as well as Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, expected to experience moderate rainfall, locally heavy showers, thunderstorms, hail, and strong wind gusts.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center stated this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"From July 18 to 20, weather conditions will vary both by date and by region. On July 18–19, a high-pressure system will bring calm, dry weather to most regions. However, in the western regions, and on Sunday also in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, an active atmospheric front moving in from Western Europe will bring moderate rainfall, locally heavy showers during the day, thunderstorms, and in some areas hail and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s. On July 20, the front will gradually weaken, but most regions can still expect brief rain showers and thunderstorms," the statement said.
