SA U20 captain Siphosethu Mnebelele will lead the team's push for back-to-back Junior World Championship titles when they face France in the decider on Saturday evening in Tbilisi.
The Junior Springboks will carry extra motivation into Saturday's World Rugby U20 Championship final against France in Tbilisi as they prepare to honour the late former SA Under-18 prop Luqobo Makwedini.
The South Africans will wear black armbands during the title decider as a mark of respect for Makwedini, who died on July 10 after a training session with his French club, AS Béziers Hérault.
The emotional tribute comes as the defending champions bid to retain the trophy they won last year, with captain Siphosethu Mnebele insisting the squad's focus remains firmly on the task at hand.
"We are well prepared for the final match, and we are all excited to represent South Africa in the final," said Mnebele.
