The economic growth and the qualitative upgrade of Greek hotels continue, per the data for 2025 and the first estimates for 2026, as the sector shows a systematic shift toward higher-class accommodation.

According to the study data of the Research Institute for Tourism, the total revenue of Greek hotels in 2025 amounted to €12.5 billion, recording an increase of 8.7% compared to the previous year, when revenue had reached €11.5 billion.

At the same time, the sector demonstrated a strong tendency toward self-financing and modernization, as funds amounting to €1.5 billion were reinvested in renovations, expansions and infrastructure upgrades.
