Explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital during an air raid alert as Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Kyiv City Military Administration Head Tymur Tkachenko warned that the city was under ballistic missile attack and urged residents to remain in shelters.
The Ukrainian Air Force detected several ballistic missiles heading toward the capital. Air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv and a number of other regions.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko reported that fires had broken out at the warehouse facilities in the Sviatoshynskyi district and in the non-residential area in the Darnytskyi district.
