As we’ve been reporting over the past few weeks, thousands of victims of serious sexual and violent crimes in England and Wales have been warned that their attackers could be released early from prison – starting in September.
In a moment I’ll be speaking to Jess Phillips – who was safeguarding minister when the bill was going through parliament but first a reminder of some of the women who spoke to us last night about how they have been feeling since receiving letters saying their perpetrators may be let out of prison early.
