The government is facing growing calls to exempt sex offenders and domestic abusers from a new Sentencing Act that could see them released early.

Victims of child groomers and rapists are among the thousands who’ve been warned that their perpetrators could soon be freed, after serving as little as a third of their sentences.

They won’t know for sure until August, but many have told us of their shock and fear, and some are even moving house.
