As part of the FREYJA anti-ballistic program, Ukraine is developing the core elements of the system – launchers and the missile itself – but faces a shortage of radar capabilities.
President Volodymyr Zelensky made the statement following the Ukraine–Southeast Europe Summit, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Speaking about the FREYJA anti-ballistic project, Zelensky said: "Ukraine is building the launchers and the missile. This is the heart of the system, but we lack other important components, primarily radars. This is where we currently have a shortage."
He noted that Ukraine has brought together eight countries within the Anti-Ballistic Coalition.
"We have now united eight countries in this initiative. There will be more, but among these eight countries we have already identified companies that have the technological capabilities to quickly address the issue of radars," the President said.
